A NEW EXPERIENCE WITH GOOGLE MEET

..Online Class..

From today our college has conducted online class for us. we were asked to download the app Google Meet and the class is conducted through this. Time table of each subject was given to us. Today we attended online class of psychology and English.
First it was difficult for most of us to enter into the classroom. But eventually every one got into it. We were very comfortable with the facility. The only problem was the issue of mobile data. But other than that everything went well. We revised two theories we already learned in our psychology class. But we had doubts and teacher cleared it thoroughly through the meet. In English we revised Unit 1 from EDU 09. It was useful because everyone can ask their doubts as well as others and can thoroughly clarify it. There is facility for the teacher or any student to present learning material for everyone else. It is an interesting effective technology which help understand various concepts clearly.

CELEBRATED VISHU

..The Celebration of Prosperity..

Vishu is celebrated on the first day of Medam or the Malayalam month or between the months of April and May of the Gregorian calendar, Vishu symbolizes the beginning of the spring season. Vishu, a Hindu festival, is celebratedin Kerala as the harvest festival and the astrological New Year of the Malayalis. Vishu indicates the movement of the sun to Aries or the Mesha Rashi and marksthe day from which the farmers begin the ploughing of land and other agricultural activities.

In Sanskrit Vishu means equal, which implies the day with equal number hours of day and night or the equinox. Several mythological tales are related to the celebration of Vishu; and as per one such story Vishu is the day when Lord Krishna killed Narakasura a demon.

For me vishu is really special because I like to collect various fruits and vegetables along with "Kanikkonna poov". In my house it is usually a celebration. But this time, we decided not to celebrate much. I am sure that not only us, the entire Keralites will not be celebrating. Because when we celebrate, others around us are suffering.

I hope this Vishu will bring peace, health, happiness and prosperity to all of us.

THE DAYS OF ANGUISH

.. Due to Corona Virus..

Today our college is temporarily closed due to the emerging threat of Corona Virus. From several days the entire world is suffering due to this dangerous virus. We went to college with fear even if there was no Corona virus detected in Trivandrum. But to avoid further spread of these virus Government had took necessary step to temporarily close all educational institutions. Because educational institutions are place where different students and teachers from different regions meet together daily. So there will be possibility to spread these virus very fast. So every governments are taking necessary steps to control the outbreak of Corona Virus.

The corona virus outbreak came to light on December 31, 2019 when China informed the WHO of a cluster cases of pneumonia of an unknown cause in Wuhan city in Hubei province. Subsequently the disease spread to more than the provinces of China to the rest of the world. WHO declared it as pandemic disease and named as SARS-CoV-2 and called as COVID-19.

I hope the people all over the world will pray for each other and together we will survive this.

ROLE PLAY

..A chance to Enact..

As part of our curriculum, we were asked to conduct a roleplay. We were divuded into groups. Ancy, Balu, Athira Sreekumar, Aawani and myself include our team. We decided to enact a part from the olay Rosa Parks Sat Still. We took the part were Rosaparks was asked to get out of the bus and the scene were she openly oppossed the inequality faced by black community in America. We prepared a script and wrote dialogue ourselves. We chose our college bus to create the bus in the original scene and  conducted a role play. It was a new experience. We had many funny moments were we even forgot our dialogues but we completed our Role play well. We were happy that we got a chance to do it.
